Idaho Legislative District 10, House Seat A
Curtis Bowers
Pat Takasugi

Q: What is the biggest difference between Curtis Bowers and Pat Takasugi?

A: Curtis Bowers boldly defends traditional values and the traditional family, while Pat Takasugi considers family values groups like the Idaho Values Alliance to be politically "Far-Right"!

While both candidates claim to be "Fiscal Conservatives", Pat Takasugi expressed hesitancy to commit to "no new taxes".

For voters who want a true fiscal conservative and
a defender of traditional family values
there is only one option here:
Curtis Bowers.

Curtis Bowers has taken a bit of heat for reporting the anti-traditional-values agenda of the US Communist Party. In a letter to the editor, Mr. Bowers told of attending a Communist Party meeting to see what they were planning. Interestingly, their plans to destroy liberty included promoting the feminist movement, expanding upon the environmental movement, and making the homosexual lifestyle mainstream. These were identified by the Communists as the best ways to undermine our families, businesses and our values-based culture. (See article here, and his response to the backlash here)

All the complaints surrounding this issue seem to accuse Mr. Bowers of intolerance and hate speech for having reported the opinions and objectives of the Communist agenda. Some who harbor sympathy towards homosexuality, feminism, and environmentalism seemed to think he was directly attacking them, somehow implying they were communists.

They are missing the point! The real question should be, was what he reported factual? Were these part of the official agenda of the US Communist Party?

The official records of the US Congress say yes! In 1963, an FBI report was presented before Congress outlining the 45 goals of the Communists Party in America (often referred to as "the 1963 goals of the Communist Party in America"). Whether you agree with these Communist plans or not, an honest reflection of where our nation is today reveals they have been surprisingly successful in accomplishing their objectives.

Curtis Bowers didn't dream up these Communist plans.
He just had the courage to report them.

Pat Takasugi was recently interviewed by the Idaho Press Tribune.

  1. In this interview, Pat identifies one of his mentors as Darrel Bolz, and says he will follow Rep. Bolz's lead in the Legislature.
(Rep. Bolz received a 56% Conservative Rating (aka RINO!) by www.KnowYourRINO.com in 2006 )

  2. Although he maintains he is fiscally conservative, he doesn't promise not to raise taxes or increase the size of Government.
  3. Conversation about the Gem State Voter Guide: (starting at minute 19:14)
IPT "I notice that you didn't respond [to the Idaho Values Alliance voter guide]"
P.T. "Who's the Idaho Values Alliance?"
    IPT "Bryan Fischer"
    P.T. "Oh! OK, that's that far-right site!"

Apparently, Pat Takasugi considers traditional family values
    to be politically " far-right"!

In support of Curtis Bowers holding District 10, House Seat A,
Governor Butch Otter said
:

“Curtis [Bowers] understands the proper relationship between government and the private sector – that government must be the people’s servant and is responsible for the wise and responsible use of taxpayer money. He is an entrepreneur and a strong family man who is invested in his community and in Idaho’s future.”

A former employee of Pat Takasugi strongly opposes his candidacy:

"Last year, Governor Otter made the very wise decision not to select Pat Takasugi for the seat vacated by Rep. Bob Ring. This was not some whim, as a few people have implied. The Governor knew full well Takasugi's inept history as the Director of Agriculture, which was the very reason he was fired from that position ...
